How do you know you’re reaching for the right goal?
As we are moving toward an especially important goal, we often encounter obstacles. In fact, the more important the goal, the more likely we are to encounter obstacles.
So how do we know if an obstacle is telling us that the goal is incorrect? We know it’s incorrect when the goal isn’t in alignment with our ultimate end goal.
What is it that we really want?
We want to be happy. We want to look back on our lives and know that we loved and were loved; that we were satisfied, content, and peaceful; that we had fun; that we participated and contributed in meaningful ways; that we made a difference.
In order to be happy, we know that means living the highest quality of life possible – setting goals in allignment with that which is healthy and life-sustaining. Our goals need to support energy and vitality.
So how do you know you’re reaching for the right goal? If your goal supports your highest quality of life, is healthy and life-sustaining, and supports energy and vitality, it is worthy of your investment.
Don’t change your goal; change your direction. Stop. Re-view your options. Shift your perspective and your perception. Gather new resources. Change your strategy.
Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Re-mind yourself that change is always happening; always bringing new opportunities, insights, and awareness, because life is designed to support your ultimate goal – all ways.
